Will the Pens still take the series vs. Tampa ??

They are the better defensive team by a landslide and still can score w/out the big boys in there. Pens are being undervalued I think as far as being able to make a run.

Better yet I still think they can win The Cup. Got $200 on them to win $1,800 in fact. I just think they have the pieces to put together another long run with Fleury playing lights out and the D picking up their game recently with their main scorers out. Factor in a Crosby return at some point (hopefully by the 2nd round) and they become legitimate contenders again.

It all depends who takes Game 2 of this series. Before that 2 minute collapse in Game 1 where the Pens capitalized twice taking a 2-0 lead, the Lightning were matching chances back and forth with them. If Tampa manages to get the split in Pittsburgh and go home with the series tied 1-1..gun to my head I'd have to take Tampa. But this series is just to tough to call stay away from betting on the series.

Im sorry for Gagne, Lecavalier, St Louis and Guy Boucher all from Quebec but this team is the easier team to play against in this year Eastern Conference 8 playoff teams! They have an inexperienced and bad defensive squad, Roloson cant make miracle anymore like he did in Edmonton and have no depth in their offensive lineup. And they play against a team that went to the Stanley Cup finals 2 years in a row and still getting the 4th seed without Crosby and Malkin.

Pens will drop one. Pens in 5 and its not even a surprise!

My biggest bet these playoffs has been Pens game 1 and Pens to win series.

I just dont see how TB can win. Their stars will not get over 2-3 goals on Fleury, and Pens can eventually put the puck in vs Roloson.

Even when TB beat Pens a week before the end of the year, the Pens completely dominated the game, had like 40 shots and Roloson stood on his head. I expect him to continue playing great, but eventually the Penguins will get the ugly goals, which i dont think TB is capable of getting.

I said before Pens in 5 or 6...i still think so.
