I'm not sure about this game. But here is my take.
Flyer's have been giving up a lot of shots to Montreal. Montreal has better skaters, and seem to be winning matchups with the bigger slower Philadelphia defenders. The Flyers take a lot of penalties, they have all year. The Flyers pk has been bad the entire playoffs, and Montreal's pp is 5-18 (27.78%) in the last four games. The Flyer's pp has been good in the playoffs 23%, and was second in the NHL this year at 21%. Marty Biron has been great. But can he really be expected to play like this for the long haul? I don't think he can sustain this level of play especially with the amount of shots he is taking.
A lot of the Flyer's goals are a result of bad play by Carey Price, and not great play by the Flyers. Will Carey Price be ineffective for the rest of the playoffs? I don't know, but the bad goals he let in show he might have lost his confidence. The Montreal defense is solid, they have been physical and move the puck extremely well. The Flyers have not been able to keep sustained pressure in the Canadien's zone. Briere has been shut down by Komisarek, he has 1 goal this series after getting 11 pts against the Capitals. Montreal's pk has been good in the playoffs, but is 2-7 against the Flyers, after being 27-30 against a bad Boston pp.
I am leaning toward taking the Canadiens and the over, but am not sure. Any thoughts??
