Thurs March 17th, Excellent NHL Moneyline Parlay Picks
Hello everyone. I am new to this site and wish to offer my advice. I have been a rec gambler for years, but have just turned "pro". I have made a lot of money the last few years. I have been playing hockey since I could stand up, and have coached for many years. Since I am new here I will offer some picks and hopefully give me some cred

Thursday March 17th, 2011 NHL Moneyline Parlay Picks:
5 Game Parlay@10.48, Winners in Bold.

    Toronto@Florida 2.0
    New Jersey@Ottawa 1.6
    Colorado@Calgary 1.38
    Phoenix@Edmonton 1.57
    St. Louis@Los Angeles 1.50

    Game Analysis:
Toronto, being 4 points out of a playoff spot, are a must win. Despite an underdog, they are a much better team then Florida, and have been playing consistently well since the all star break. With only a few remaining games left, Florida has no problem letting the game go as they wish to have a high draft pick. They also unloaded a lot of talent at the trade deadline and have had spurts of good games, but overall, with the Leafs motivation and superior skill, despite playing last night, will still prevail.

This is the same case for all other remaining games. NJ/Ottawa game, Colorado/Calgary game, Phoenix/Edmonton and the St. Louis/LA game. All of these games are playoff teams vs draft lottery go getters.

These losing teams won't blatantly throw a game, but it's quite obvious at this point coaches are not doing everything they can to win these games. Consequently, Calgary, Phoenix, and LA are all battling in the Western conference for a playoff spot and they cannot let these easy games slip away. They will play hard and not treat these teams as easy.

NJ is also on the doorstep of the playoffs in the eastern front, and have been almost unbeatable since the break. Ottawa has been playing well of late thanks to Anderson, however the devils are still a much better team and home ice is not enough to help the less motivated, weaker Ottawa team.

Odds are 10.48:1 as per Bet365 5:00AM EST.
I will be placing a $1,000 wager, paying out $10,480 as I am quite confident of this result. Normally I stick to straight bets, or trixie's sometimes with 3 game parlays, however this once in a blue moon parlay bet looks great.

    Good luck to everyone.

$1000 on a 5 game parlay? Your potential winnings are really nice, but you took 4 favorites to win, and I smell an upset in one of those. I think you have too many games in that parlay, especially when your about to throw a $1000 bet. Just my opinion though. Good luck!

Normally, I would agree but Over/Unders have been making me nervous these past few days. Things don't seem to be going how they should be going and the ones that do hit seem to be REALLY close calls ( i.e. both Vancouver games). I would much rather do a ML parlay today, though 5 teams is a bit too many especially at this point in the season. If I were to do a parlay, i'd probably do: Sharks ML, Flames ML, Devils ML, and Kings ML. Looking at Bodog odds, the payout on a $1000 wager would be just shy of $4000.

I like all the picks, some more than others. What are peoples oppinons on the most likely and least likely to end up wrecking this parlay?

I see least likely is Calgary, followed by Phoenix.

Most likely to lose, New Jersey, I know, I know the streak and all, but lots of close games and facing a goalie that has shown more than a few flashes of brilliance lately.

I feel like Calgary, Los Angeles and Phoenix should probably all win. The Kings have been strong lately, Phoenix is playing the Oilers and Calgary is playing the Avalanche who haven't been able to buy a game in forever. That said, they have been putting up a good fight for the first one or two periods of their last few games and giving people scares, so who knows. Most likely are Toronto and New Jersey. I have really liked Ottawa recently. Florida as been playing pretty good hockey lately and lost by a small margin to good teams (and somehow beat Chicago).

I'd be a little nervous with your Toronto pick, playing the night before with JS getting the start tonight. I agree with the other 4 though.

                            Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, I found out today Giggy is in net, however I still believe Toronto will win. They have so much more to play for, and Dion has finally woken up. They have 6 injured regulars as well. Kadri was also called up, and although he's still running around a bit, he is definitely a threat and this team is very young, I am not worried about back to back games.

Ottawa played well for a few weeks, but has cooled off. NJ is a powerhouse now. Their record the last 20 games is insane. I believe they will actually make the playoffs.

If there was ever a lock, it's Calgary vs. Colorado. I bet heavy on this game to pay for my parlay. I got it at 1.4, and bet 3k.

I have a very healthy bankroll built up the last two years, so i can take these hits. Two years ago, when Pittsburgh struggled early, they were 15:1 to win the cup. I bet huge and won.

I don't usually bet parlays, especially 5, but when I do I pick a "lock" game and bet heavy to pay for a parlay. If I lose, then it sucks but that's the gamble I take to offset the variance of parlays.

What a disappointing game for Toronto. Not to make excuses, but I never would have bet with Gig playing goal. Horrible coaching move. The Leafs have zero confidence when he plays. Overall flat performance. Sorry everybody.

I sure hope Calgary wins on my straight bet to cover this parlay.

gig was confirmed yesterday at 10 pm. youd think with making a lot of money and coaching you'd check on that kinda chit b4 dropping a g-note on it.

Calgary won. This is why I offset a parlay loss by betting heavy on a strong favorite. Obviously parlays are a gamble, but there is nothing wrong with taking a shot once in awhile.

I did not pick Toronto because they are my favorite team, I picked them because I believed they would win. Also Wilson likes to pull rope a dopes on lineups to confuse other coaches so you can't take his word for a grain of salt.

Starting Gigggy was nothing more then a big favor request. He needs a start to land some sort of contract and he blew it. The Leafs play much better with a goalie that can bail them out with their pressure system.

The problem is Wilson's coaching system gives up too many odd man rushes and if you don't have a goalie to bail you out once in a while once it's 1-0 your chasing the game and it's over. It's a stupid system but that's the coach we have.
