I was actually thinking of playing the Detroit series price at -180. It’s a steep price for an NHL series, but it doesn’t seem like Colorado has the skill or speed to stay with the Wings, and I’m not sure Theodore can hold up the way he did in the Minnesota series. Do you actually have a lean towards the Avalanche for the full-series, or does taking them tonight reflect more the nice price you’re getting?

dwaechte,
I still think the Wings will win this series regardless of what happens tonight. I just think they get an early wake-up call here.
Detroit may be a tad overconfident after sweeping the Avs this year including shutting them out the last three times, but Colorado is playing their best hockey right now and they did not have Salei, Forsberg and Foote when they faced Detroit in the regular season. I agree that Jose probably won't stand up for the whole series, but for one more game he's worth a shot at the price.

That's only relevant if he LET'S it become relevant, i.e., if he starts thinking about it. If he just plays his game like he did the last three games vs. Minnesota, he should be OK.
