I think Tampa Bay will win this game but at -120 is kinda steep, but i'll take it. Thoughts on this game?

#16big play on the under. Seems too much of a toss to pick a winner here. TB not playing well, but plays extremely well at home and Caps have played the lightening well this year. Caps on a B2B. If I had to choose, I think I would take the hot team right now, which is the Caps.
I really like the under for several reasons. Can't remember all the trends, but just about all of them point strongly at the under, but the big one is that this will be like a playoff game. It's late in the season and the caps hold only a 1 point advantage for the division. Neuvirth having a really solid season. Roloson struggling a bit lately, but I expect him to bring his A game at home in a big matchup. I'm expecting a really close tight encounter here with only a few goals scored.
The only thing that scares me is if one of these teams just doesn't show up like caps-rangers and lightening have been hit or miss at times with no gray area, but I think this is too big of a game and both will come hard tonight.Comment -

#17Caps and the under for me. Played the under and put in a parlay, Caps and under. Bunch of the Caps have their dads and brothers traveling with them so they will want to impress. I would say stay away from the lightning on this one.Comment -

#18I know nothing about NHL but i watched the Capitals last night and they were successful for me so i'm thinking about backing them again and i've just read this about the game what do you think?:
Washington Capitals vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Tonight 1st place in the Southeast Division will be on the line when the Caps and lightning do battle. Washington sits only 1 point ahead of Tampa and is now only 4 points back of Philadelphia for 1st place in the Conference. Thanks to reeling off 4 straight wins, the Caps have given themselves an opportunity to have home-ice advantage in the 1st round of the playoffs. Tampa Bay on the other hand has lost 3 in a row and need to figure things out quickly. Stephen Stamkos has just 1 goal and 3 assists in his last 9 games, and has gone 4 straight games without a point. A team’s star need to carry it and Alex Ovechkin has done that this year with 2 and 7 assists in the 5 matchups against the Lightning. Washington has taken 3 of the 5 games between these rivals this year and 9 of the last 11 games played in Tampa Bay. Look for the Caps to stay in 1st place behind the excellent play of Backstrom and Ovechkin.Comment -

#19Caps are to unpredictable and seriously do you guys really think that Tampa will lose back to back games at home to the Caps? I just don't think the Capitals are ready for first place and they really have not been impressive for a while. Until Mike Green and Eric Fehr get back, I'm not sure what Capitals team your going to get. Yeah, the value is great, but i just think the better value is on the tampa puckline. gl on whatever you play, but its tampa for me or no play. This is coming from a Caps fan.Comment -

#20Agreed! Value bet night in the NHL. Washington getting + money with the way they have been playing even on the road against a Tampa team that seems to have tired in the last 2 weeks, leads me to take the Caps. Both teams are capable of lighting up the scoreboard too, and I think we will be in for a treat tonight.
Wash + the Over is what I'm seeing.

A slumping team (TB) that can't seem to score is going to play against one of the best defenses in the league (who also can't seem to score), and they're going to come up with 8 goals?
It is just because everyone else is on the under?
Teams that have trouble finding the net, but play good, solid defense are likely to go under - they don't want to make that crucial mistake and lose a point. With the top two teams of the division going at it, I would expect a tight, low scoring game.
Just my opinion.Comment -

1st: Public money in on the under. Not that I usually care what the publics doing, but mondays have been a bookies best friend the last few weeks in the NHL, so that plays a small role in my thinking.....
2nd: we got 2 of the most dynamic players facing off. I like them both to put up a couple points tonight.
3rd: 3 of the last 5 have gone over the total.
4th: these teams have scored 26 goals in their last 5 games combined. THats just over an average of 5 goals a game for the series. I think a 5-3 or 4-3 type of game is in order for tonight. So for me, its the Caps (just playing better hockey than the bolts right now) and the over (trending playing a small role in that choice)
Im going to play the over for certain. And anytime you get a team playing good puck, and they are getting plus $ its worth a wager. Thats just my opinion....not always the right one, but not always the wrong one either.....
I guess thats why we call it gambling....
No matter which way you go, this game is shaping up to be a good one. Good luck with you're play, no matter which side of the ice you are on.Comment -
