I play 1 unit on normal games and 2 units on locks.
Unit for me is only 1% of my entire bankroll. This should keep it safe, but today I have around 27% of my bank roll out and running :P
But tomorrow I should have a lot more money than I have today!

Wow. The point here is that everyone who posts their plays thinks they know something. Some do, some don't. Some get lucky for a while, and fade away, while others are more consistent.

The basics of sports betting are not what these posts are about. Units and prices are important when YOU place your bet. They have nothing to do with predicting an outcome, and getting it right.

If you're consistent with your units, then 67% winners will win you money. Use any denomination, you'll see. Stop trying to sound more intelligent on the subject than you really are. Some of us have been doing this for a very long time.

Now, if you're done trying to cause trouble to an otherwise "peaceful" board, we have some business to attend to.

Tackleberry...sorry i didnt get to answer u sooner, although i didnt see any question in your original post, only complaining about me leaving the odds and something about how much u hate the use of smily faces? (sorry bro, u have to clear that up with SBR, and their "smile limit policies)I usually(ALMOST ALWAYS) post the odds along with the play, and only recently have started to add the amount of units played=indicating the strength of my pick...And i dont hate u for hating me for watever other reasons u may have, but i do hate ppl who bitch and complain in general...Eer....yeah......like i said, thanx for checking my thread, but if u ACTUALLY READ any of mut posts, im very particulair about posting LINES, not odds, since they do change, but like everyone is telling you, it is very simple to just look up YOUR OWN book...As far as bitching and complaining IN GENERAL, u'll never see me doing this....I understand why it is so much fun to set up your own thread, make picks, win them, gather following, talk to LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE who care about this sort of things....But i cant for the life of me gather where we get ppl like u coming in to someone elses thread trying to disturb the nature of its content...Im not a young cat(39) but i do believe there is a fairly new term describing your behavior in the internet world....i think they call it "TROLL"? oh , almost forgot.....if u think it is easy to pick games, i got nothing to say to u....IT is VERY HARD...i suggest u try it, then comeback and talk to me....i spent years, and countless hours studying the game, watching previous matchups(prerecorded)...reading the news....identifying trends....etc, etc, etc...If it was easy, the books would have been forced to stop taking action...i got nothing else

As u wish sir...Although i like a game tomorrow(under 5? in new jersey/washington)I AM NOT GOING TO POST IT AS A LOCK....too many variables. For one, new jersey JUST played tonight(embarassing loss to ottawa) Washington is fresher and on a roll, yet the Devils are reeling, but for how long....This under can turn sour quickly if washington pounds on a tired jersey D, and the devils rebound from their horrible loss tonight...Any other day two weeks ago this would have been an easy lock....Tomorrow? under 5 might still be the play, but i think we push there on this occasion, so i am only posting it as a LEAN....I also favor over 5.5 in isles/carolina, but no strong play there as well...I am sitting friday out....got all day to count my money

After a tedious breakdown of tomorrows card(10 games) i am able to identify 2 strong contenders for my "lock" of the day play....THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY THIS TOMORROW IS BY BETTING THESE TWO GAMES AS A PARLAY...

1.BUFFALO(-0.5)/ATLANTA(IN BUFFALO) (ODDS ARE UNAVAILABLE YET, BUT WILL BE IN THE MORNING) (ML) IF -0.5 ODDS NOT AVAILABLE

2.SAN JOSE(-0.5)/ST.LOUIS(IN SAN JOSE)(ODDS NOT AVAILABLE YET ALSO) (ML) IF -0.5 ODDS NOT AVAILABLE


For those of you who do not have the option to bet regulation lines i would suggest going safe and betting them as a 2-teamer par with (ML)
Although these two might be heavier juiced, a win is a win is a win, and a parlay certainly takes care of the juice...

i am laying $300 to collect $696 (@ML odds) for a two teamer, and going to throw in a 3rd team(LEAN ONLY) in the parlay mix to make the things even more attractive (detroit ML-115@nashville) laying $100 to collect $433.68 Tomorrow afternoon this 2 team parlay with -0.5 lines should bring in over $1000 EASY on just $300 play

First two games are my OFFICIAL LOCKS... The other one(Detroit) is only a sweetener. I also like over 5.5 in Buffalo/Atlanta, as my other strong lean, but cannot pick 2 plays in the same game for a parlay, so am going to leave these as a LEAN ONLY

OPTION 1) BET 80% OF YOUR ROLL MONEY ON FIRST BET: A 2 TEAMER USING (ML) INSTEAD OF "REGULATION ODDS" BUT THROW IN A SECOND BET FOR 20% OF YOUR BANK THROWING IN EITHER DETROIT(ML) OR OVER 5.5 IN BUFFALO/ATLANTA GAME AS A THIRD TEAM IN A 3 TEAM PARLAY

OPTION 2) GROW BALLZ.... DECREASE YOUR BET AMOUNT DRAMATICALLY, BUT MAINTAIN THE PAYOFF AMOUNTS BY BETTING -1.5(PL) AND PARLAYING THE TWO LIKE THIS:
SINGLE BET: BUFFALO-1.5(+180) PARLAYED WITH SAN JOSE -1.5(+145) RISKING ONLY $50 TO WIN $343

the last option is a weakest of the two of course, but if u have a little extra cash, or do not feel like betting too much....THIS 2-TEAM (PL) PARLAY HAS A GREAT VALUE AND A CHANCE OF HITTING...Considering risk vs. reward: this one is a nobrainer...

I don't know if you understand the european type of odds :P But when I parlay the two games i will get the odds 3,37 which should be around +275

So you're able to parlay the buffalo/San Jose but only ML, correct? You can ABSOLUTELY do it this way...Although u got me lost in the interpretation of -0.5 bets...not sure if we're talking about the same types of bets here...(-0.5) regulation type of a bet simply means your team HAVE to win in regulation time. If your team goes to the OT, regardless of the outcome it is a LOSS. Taking (ML) allows for wider possibilities to win, but it also requires bigger amounts of juice. If you're willing to lay larger amounts down, i would certainly recommend it doing it this way, but if you want to have higher returns on your posted bet, then playing the(-0.5) regulation and/or -1.5 (PL) are certainly will do just that, but u must understand; the higher the risk=higher potential for a huge payout...By playing ML you're lowering your risks across the board, but also lowering the potential win amount

PS...Im playing it as a parlay, because i want to make more money then splitting games up into two separate bets...Its wagering 101...BOL

to me 1 unit=$100, i am waiting till my book comes up with 60 min(regulation) lines...waiting to put $300 on 2 team parlay(buff-0.5)/San Jose-0.5) and $50 3 teamertwo as above+detroit (ML)...LETS GET THAT GREEN, BOY'S
