It'll be interesting to see how Penner fits in, I like the makeup of their core group up front now. Dallas wanted Schenn or Simmonds for Richards and they weren't willing to give up those assets.

I think Penner will fit it nicely as a top 6 forward for the Kings. They were a legitimate contender before this deal but this only makes them better. It was a good deal for the remainder of the season and depends if they resign him or not but this deal will affect the Kings' future.

We have a good amount of money coming off the books after this year. We need to resign Penner and Doughty and hopefully have enough money to make a push for Richards (if healthy). All in all I'm happy we landed the biggest fish so far!

Penner is obviously a solid addition for the Kings, who needed a quality top-6 winger badly. Aside from the Boston Bruins, I'd say L.A. is the most improved team after this past week.

Sorry bud but if Dallas was gonna lose him in the off season he would have left. He likes Dallas and he's gonna re sign with them in the off season...

I still wouldn't feel too confident with Quick and Bernier in between the pipes. Brutal game by Quick tonight

Kings are still a top team in the West in my opinion though. Great offensive depth and a solid blue line.
