Trying to turn $500 into $1000
Despite all the ups and downs of a long NHL season, I am back where I started. I originally set aside $500 that I was willing to call my "hockey bank roll", I got up to about $1500, down to $250, and now I am right back where I started. I am Trying to get a 100% return on my investment by the end of the hockey season. If it any point I have $1000, I will probably walk away. It would be very difficult to invest money in the stock market and expect a return of 100%, let's see if I can do it with the NHL.

If I end up with $600 at the end of the year, I will be very happy. Any return on an investment is a success in my eyes. Wish me luck

    The first play is on:

    Carolina Hurricanes (-125) $93.75 to win $75

Carolina line seems fishy. Don't like it. But good luck.

        Thanks.

as for the line, it opened at 130 and then went up to 140 at a lot of places.

Pinny opened at 125, dropped to 122 for a little bit before heading up to 132. public money has brought the line down throughout the day, because everyone knows how hot Jersey is. but the early money came in on Carolina, which is what I look for.

I'm not saying it's a sure thing, because the Devils are playing great. I just like Carolina in this spot after dropping 2 games against the Devs in the past 10 days.

best of luck on everyone's plays tonight

Huge Sabres fan btw, 716 born and raised.

at least if Carolina loses my Sabres will still be 4 out of a playoff spot

Yeah, Sabres need to pull it together, could've really used those last 2 games.

If anything this game will be close imo. I like the devils +1.5 and thats about it.

I started doing stupid things like tailing paid cappers from the service plays section. for some reason I assumed I couldn't keep winning and that in order to avoid a cold streak I should tail someone else,

you're right though, I learned my lesson. I will walk away if I even hit 1k

If you get a internet bookie you can only play the money which you loaded on there.

I would never gamble money that I wasn't fully willing to lose, though. I am sure if I wanted to I probably could have texted/called my guy and asked to push my limit (which I have done in the past) but I am not willing to do it this week. I have been on a cold streak as it is, so I think a few days off will be nice.

I know what you are saying about online books though, I was at 5 dimes for a little while in the beginning of the year (lost the few hundred I had deposited). It was nice to not have the option of chasing any bets.

My journey to 1k will resume after I square up everyone enjoy the rest of their Saturday night, lifes too short to stress out over small currency
