Are these poisson distributions? Thoughts?

Without putting any real thought into this I would say shots on goal for a team are not, they occur way to frequently for the poisson distribution to apply. For players on the other hand it might work.

I was thinking the same thing. The league average is ~30 shots/game. How many possessions does a team have per game, many less than 300 which is the amount required to make a success .1/trial, right?
