    Washington goal tending woes
I predict a trade. possibly Semin or Backstrom involved to aquire a good goalie. Without one Washington doesn't have a chance at getting anywhere in the playoffs.

The question is: when are they going to win a game? 6 in a row? They're starting to look like the Washington Generals...

I haven't watched enough of their recent games or looked at the stats enough to say that it's primarily a goaltending problem. Is is accurate to say the net is the problem or lack of defensive focus? That 5-0 must be a bitter punch in the head. Cheers

Goaltending will be a big problem in the playoffs. They have alot of goal scorers, thats why they have a good record, but IMO, they still don't have a top notch goalie.

They don't need a top-tier goalie to go deep in the playoffs, the two teams in the Stanley Cup Final last year had average goaltending at best. What this Washington team is missing is heart and toughness, something players from outside North America lack.
