Glad you asked! While any pick of mine can always be wrong of course, I have a system that simulates games and gives percentages...

Over 68% of the time my system had this game scoring an average of 4.7 goals, well less than 5.5.

That is a very strong, above average system play for me. Then I went into my hockey database to look for any trends that match up with my system selection.

My system has Anaheim winning on the Money Line over 50.5% of the time. Not strong enough for me to pick them to win, but what that means is I expect them to be competitive, and I look for OVER/UNDER trends in Anaheim games where they keep the game close (1-2 goals).

The database tells us that:

Anaheim is playing on the road after two consecutive home games. Over the last two years, when that situation has presented itself, Anaheim is 9-0 UNDER the total.

Digging deeper, I also find that Anaheim has scored at least 3 goals in their last two games. Over the last two seasons, when they have done that, and then had a road game as their following game, they are 17-3 UNDER the total.

These are the strongest trends in my database, but there are about 14 more showing me this game should go under the 5.5 total.

So the database trends STRONGLY match up with my system pick, which makes this my NHL GAME OF THE MONTH!

Under is def a fade the public play, but I don't want to invest more in it. If anything I was going to hedge my bet to guarantee a payoff - but I'll roll with you and just stick with the under.
