Eastvan's NHL Plays 2010/11

Time to make some $. I didn't post my first NHL play of the year last night, won 8 units on Canucks -1.5 ag NJ.

I love playing the -1.5 lines for select NHL games. And at the tail of of their road trip the NJ Devils are garbage. A rusty Canucks team with 5 days off played sloppy and beat the Devils 3-0. The Devils cannot score and Ilya is creating problems within the locker room.

Chicago will feast on the Devils on Wednesday night and score 3-4+ goals. The Devils will struggle to score at all.

Official play #1 - Chicago -1.5 , 1.8 units to win 2.97 units

I haven't had much time to cap lately. Hawks are losing 2-0 at home to the Devils half-way through the second period, yuch.

I'm not watching the game but am suprised.

I was too busy to look into taking my Canucks this week. They had two good road wins over Edm and Col.

Usually I lay much bigger with Canucks at home, except when the Red Wings are in town. Wings play very well at Van.

Van 3-3 with Det after 2nd. Canucks have to win it in the 3rd

Canucks took only 3 minor penalties of the 2nd period. almost killed off all 3, Malhotra gets SH goal, then Wings get a late PP goal. Ugh

Thanks Wal! It helps to watch entertaining teams play. Do you ever watch Lightning games? It seems like the Lightning are an up and coming team. Many people are picking them to qualify for the playoffs.

I often bet on my home team, the Vancouver Canucks. Winners of 6 in a row and opening a 5 game Eastern road trip in Montreal on Tuesday night. This is excellent news because the Canucks feast on the East! The Canucks have a chance to win at atleast 4 games on this road trip.

Vancouver ML -125 @ Montreal.

I will check on Tuesday morning for 3 way lines, I want to get good odds with a Van win in regulation line.
-Mtl has played a lot of teams with losing records.
-Canucks goalie Luongo plays well in his home town.

Tonight I did not have time to examine the full NHL card. Fading Toronto and Edmonton would have been good ideas. I am going to broaden the teams I am betting on.

St Louis is barely giving up any goals. Enough said, the Blues are playing a lot of unders. I won with under STL @ NYR.

Toronto @ Florida -155, regulation win Line TBA
Leafs on a 6 game winless streak (1-6-3 in past 10). Leafs just lost 4-0 in TB. Panthers are 3-2 at home. Leafs have scored only 15 goals in their last 10 games! Panthers are not great, but fade the Leafs! I will wait for regulation line to come out.

Ducks 5-1-1 at home. Isles 2-6-1 on the road. Fade the Isles! ML is not paying much so I may bet the Ducks to win in regulation.

Further to the Isles, 6 straight road losses, outscored 26-10, ouch. I will likely fade the Isles and bet against them all three games during their all-California road trip. I will be definetely taking the home side for a regulation win, but I may take the home side -1.5

Do you live in the Tampa Bay area? Watching good hockey live is the best way to go! Hockey is not nearly as good a TV sport as the NFL. With hockey you need to feel, see, and smell the ambience.

I keep losing one of my chosen larger unit plays. Damn Sharks, I knew NYI played Ducks close but I still thought the Sharks could blow out the Isles. I also lost some of my marginal plays. I will play more totals and perhaps try to pass on my marginal plays. Well, I am finally into positive territory for my official plays! I have to maximize my unit returns.
