Toronto might be in a mini slump now, but their fortunes are going to change tonight at home against Florida. True, Florida has had Toronto's number recently with 4-2-2 (3-1-1 in Tornoto), but there are some stats in this young season that show a different story. Jean-Sebastien Giguere is a Jekyll-Hyde goalie. Though he is allowing a 4.0 GAA average on the road, he has only allowed 4 goals in regulation play in his 3 home games. Tomas Vokoun averages 2.13 GAA, but there is one stat that works against him. In games he has played against top ten teams in converting their SOG by percentage (Dallas 13.1, Islanders 11.3, Oilers 9.4), he is averaging 3.75 GAA. Guess who is #3 in SOG% success? Toronto at 10.9%. Not only is Tornoto going to win, but I'm going with the puckline.

Thanks for the info, TBone. Clemmensen only allowed one goal in a 4-1 win at Toronto last year. I'm still going with Toronto nonetheless with the back up playing on the road. The line was moving full throttle toward Florida. I wonder if we see a change in course now.

The Maple Leafs have gone 2-4-2 in their last eight against Florida - 1-3-1 at home. The clubs split four matchups last season with each winning once at home and on the road.

Florida bounced back from a 4-1 loss to Dallas on Thursday by beating the New York Islanders 4-3 two days later. (we know how the Leafs work, they get a solid lead and they fall asleep and let the other team creep right back in, and the Panthers can creep back in)

David Booth, The left wing has three goals and five assists in seven games against Toronto. He scored twice against Giguere in a 4-1 win at Air Canada Centre on March 23.
