Hey everyone, really enjoyed reading everyone's predictions so I thought I'd post a couple of my own. I usually do really well with my picks so interested in sharing my thoughts with you guys.
Tonight:
NHL: Tampa Bay at Montreal
Pick: Montreal (ML at 1.80) SMALL bet
I see everyone jumping on Tampa here and I think it will be one of the biggest mistakes you can make. Montreal is a GOOD team this year, and everyone's calling the upset based on a 1 game TB performance. TB has a reputation as being a terrible road team. Taking TB in Montreal is a lot like taking Atlanta against LA last night, don't get trapped. Take Montreal for the money.
NHL: NY Islanders at Washington
Pick: Washington (-1.5 at 1.87) BIG bet
Again, a lot of people jumping on the dog here. Islanders have had a wonderful first two games and it's leading some to bet for them. Washington is too good, and at home today. Islanders are injury plagued already, and DiPietro hasn't looked strong. Islanders may be a nice surprise this season, but take Washington to win big tonight.
NHL: New Jersey at Buffalo
Pick: Buffalo (ML at 1.71) SMALL bet
Buffalo comes in with good reason to want to destroy New Jersey after having the Pominville injury last game. New Jersey will have a game to snap out of the funk they're in, but it's not going to be against Buffalo. Jersey's goaltending GAA's are 4.11 (Brodeur) and 6.00 (Hedberg) so far this season and their goaltending looks terrible. Buffalo will win this.
I also like Vancouver tonight, but I'm not sure I trust it yet. Will see how I do in the early games and then decide upon a bet or not.
