ok guys, i will be tracking my picks here and create a spreadsheet of my selections for tracking of outcomes and money. we have a long season, and quite a few games to cash in on. appreciate comments and game discussions etc.

afternoon guys ... will have some selections tonight... wanted to drop one now as i locked in on it.

Boston Bruins ML +113 over NJ Devils. broduer and co. stink at the moment, and with those 15 players only due to problems with cap salary, and a stacked bruins offence and defense with depth.

i see bruins winning 2 goals or more. could be brutally ugly. nice price

i'm looking at the rest of the slate tonight, and should post more to this thread.

Tuesday October 19th, 2010 - NHL selections

Boston Bruins vs Washington Capitals - Boston Bruins ML +150 (1x)

depth chart, looking at these two teams in every position from goaltending
and defense, the bruins are the superior team here. offense? sure, take out
ovechkin, and you have just an average team. and the bruins will cover Ovechkin like a blanket.

the boston bruins offense is literally 4 lines deep, and it's stacked with young
talent and the right mix of veterans in the lineup. bruins traditional hockey is
smashmouth and clear the defensive zone fast.

in net, thomas or rask, doesnt matter matter, thomas year before was venzina winner ( best goalie in the NHL) and rask would have won it with his best goals against average last season, but buffalo's miller played some more games.

caps boasting a "21-3-1" type record at home since jan 1, and out of those 3 losses, it was the bruins who won in washington.

take advantage early of disrespect to the boston bruins, who to many will probably be fighting for 1st place in the eastern conference.

All those washington wins (4-1) on the season, they were behind in all the games, and the teams they played? not in the same league as the travelling B's roll into washington to pick up the 2 points.

i always start slowly handicapping the NHL, it takes a good 20 games ( 1/4 of the season) to really get a feel and understanding who's who and what is what.

i'll look over another play or two, and see if theres another game to be bet on.

Vancouver Canucks vs Minnesota Wild - Vancouver -1 +147 (1x)

simple here folks, canucks stacked with offense, and luongo is far far overdue
for a shutout. and that depleted 1/2 talanted lineup is sick and down and out.

-1 pucks cause if minnesota does get cute and trys to keep it close, or take it into OT, a little insurance for a push in case canucks cant finish it. personally, i vancouver winning by 2 goals.

of scoring chances.

Heatly, Marleau, Big Joe, and company are due for a big offensive onslaught, and traditionally slow out of the gate, this home game will prove sharks dominant at home. my off the record score prediction - San Jose 5 -1

hey rocky, interesting games, hawks far better and should dominate over canucks, vancouver yr in and yr out always fail to win games they should win.

i'll lean on chicago, but not yet done looking into that game and the los angeles kings also. enough of carolina, kings are on their game and at home and id feel safe they aint playing ward tonight and cane's are tired.

i usually post my play each game 1/2 hr before game times, due to thinking and researching and i like to watch the lines.

afternoon guys, well, season is starting slowly, and still getting a grip on whats going on this season, and i stress always, takes a good 1/4 of a season to really be able to handicap this sport. anyone seriously who bets on hockey knows its difficult at times. Parity in this league is the key. the worst can beat the best in any given game or factor.

i suggest not to bet too heavy yet, there are good spots here and there, but its just all about waiting it out a little to get a better feel and understanding of how teams are. we need those stats, and we need to see which teams we can get great value, but most importantly, pick the side that will just win.

we havnt even hit 10 games into the season, so, again i stress, bet carefully
and we'll try to keep moving along. cheers!
