I can smell hockey in the air

hello cappers. long time lurker, first time poster.

while i love capping most sports, there is nothing better than capping hockey. there is some money to be made on totals in this sport as you all know very well.

So seeing only a handful of hockey cappers here compared to the other sports forums, i thought i would post my thoughts throughout the season.

A little bit about my self: avid foosball player, die hard blues fan who is ready to purchase some playoff tickets once again. (should be fun seeing all the DET, CHI, and PHI fans on this site)

You think Halak will be able to back the Blues to playoffs? Young offensive and defensive core. Might not finish in the top 8 this year but the Blues will be making noise for years to come.

Right on salmonsteak, i threw down a homer bet on the blues to hoist the cup as well.. i do every year thinking what better way to make the greatest day i will ever have better, other than adding a couple k to the account this city wants a cup baddd. stl gets over looked as a hockey city due to the fact that they will always be in the cards(choke,choke) shadow. but there is some deep nhl history right here in the midwest.

As for halak:

i think that mtl made a mistake turning to price and dumping halak, but thats when business choices come into play. And mtl had a hard choice. Halak is still young, 25 if i remember correct, which fits perfect into the blues locker room. i hope conklin only has to play 20 or so games. im not a fan of conks inconsistancy, but as backs up go he is top 5 in the leauge. Goaltending is a large puzzle peice missing from the notes, and after seeing halak's preformance in last years playoffs i am happy he has a bluenote on his chest.

EJ is healthy!!! it will be nice to see him ar 100% cause we never have. fucker got drunk, crashed a golfcart, and ruined playoff hopes for an entire city still mad at that.
