I will follow up on why the OVER is the play here in the next few days.

Going to watch the Flyers pre season game tonight and observe a few plays to confirm this for sure.

Pre-season and regular season are two completely different seasons.

Yes I know this...But the coachs still approach the game with game plans and strategies that are used in both preseason and regular season. Trust me Ive been around the block when it comes to hockey, just sit back and relax

First period over on all totals of 6.5 = $$$

No man always 1.5 for every period. They were my biggest money makers last year. Caps first period overs are usually heavy juice around -130 to -150 range depending on the book.

Also, with Tampa's new found offensive punch, it's definitely going be profitable, IMO at least, to bet on "overs" in the 8 divisional matchups between the Caps and the Bolts. Goaltending remains a weakness on both sides, so everything points to a solid profit opportunity!

Always a lot of scoring in Canes-Caps games too. No reason to believe that this is going to change, so a lot of scoring to look forward to in Washington's games within the SE division!

Interesting I used to bet 1st period totals on certain matchups but never when the game total was 6.5

I will keep this in mind, for this season. Im more of a game total kinda guy, rather then 1st period totals. Those empty net goals usually come through for me at tough times
