From my experience, in NHL is really hard to find favourite of the match. It is such a hard mission, that most of odds below @2,0 have no value IMO. I say most, so there are some exceptions for sure, but it is not successful way through NHL generally IMO.
If there is some home favourite, I recommend and personally often choose HCP variant. Odds have more value IMO in general, and there is lower stake in risk.

Devils failed against Islanders again, for fith time this season. They dominated, intensified pressure, outshooted them 38-23, but lost 1-3 after an emptynetter in the end.
Only a bad match IMO, it has nothing to do with bad moral, form etc. They are still one of the hottest teams, they will be again highly motivated as they are fighting with Penguins on the top of Atlantic division and will wish to win again after "Islanders" disapointment.
One of their best atackers, Elias and goalie Brodeaur have both great record against Florida on home ice and not only these two mens. Florida is quite favourite opponent for Devils in contrast to Islanders in general. New Jersey won 2 from 3 this season and last 6 at home and they have big success in PP against them lately.
Not that Florida played bad match at Philadelphia, there was some bad luck(two PP goals and empty netter), but still, they lost 8 from last 10 games and todays match isn't too good opportunity to change this trend IMO.
I can't see Devils to lose this game and I believe that HCP needn't to stay too far, as here is often solid opportunity for empty net goal.
