Riga has already done enough and will probably be overwhemed. Loko will come out strong
in first encounter to show who is daddy.

Ok guys, i feel like doing some headless gambling today. But it sometimes works for me

SKA ST. PETERSBURG vs. ATLANT MOSCOW

I watched the first and bit of third period of their first game. A couple of observations. Atlant is playing to hurt SKA leaders. I saw at least 4-5 moments where they intentionally attacked to injure the opponent. I also saw the interview of Atlant coach in-between rounds and it looked like he did not mind! This is instructed to Atlant. Next, Atlant is one of best defenses in KHL in my opinion and they played iostly defense and counterattacks. Atlant hopes for long series and are taking the games back home. It will be rough there.

1. SKA ST. PETERSBURG vs. ATLANT MOSCOW (UNDER 5.5 @1.64)
I think Atlant is not going to change the game plan and SKA sees what is happening. They will try to play safe and protect their stars. Atlant is not going to be first number in offense and SKA will do just enough to win. What happened in 2nd period in their first game (7 goals) is out of this planet. It does not matter.

2. SKA ST. PETERSBURG vs. ATLANT MOSCOW (1st period UNDER 1.5 @1.71)

LOKOMOTIV vs. DYNAMO RIGA

This one is tough. Lokomotiv goalie sucks, that's a fact. And their defense sometimes does weird things. They allow the forward stand behind their net more than 30 seconds and do nothing (not a power play). But their offense is brilliant. Riga has decent defense and goalie and good fighting spirit. So it all depends what are coach instructions for both teams.

3. LOKOMOTIV vs. DYNAMO RIGA (UNDER 5.5 @1.74)

I think Lokomotiv will start slowly and not push things. I even think Riga will be aggressors initiall**. I also considered taking Riga to score first @2.26. Loko also in their second game against Minsk (at home) lost 1-4 and I would not be surprised if something like that happens again.

Edit: I contemplated this pick again while driving to work. This total may go either way easily and almost entirely depends on decision of Supler. He may send his team on attack, but that kind of open play suites Lokomotiv best. If you score 2 in such game, they will score 4. If you score 3, they will 6. He may play defense/counterattack game and Loko will take it easy. Riga is down 0-1 and most likely will take two losses home. But the!20latter type of game will not destroy them psychologically or even bring them win with a lot of luck.

I think I might have two parlays:
3+1 and 3+2

Fl6j66, you are probably right. Stats usually do not lie and don't let my picks to change your mind. Those are just my feelings after watching their 1st game. SKA started careful and when they scored in 2nd half It felt like they thought they made the game and now can simply skate. Quick answer goal was a cold shower for them. They did not recover from shock quick enough and got two next goals. After that they had nothing to do but go all in and attack fearlessly. It worked but I doubt they want to repeat that kind of game. I believe coach will make adjustments.
But if you can predict hockey game a bit, then to predicting score is much harder.

It is clear to me that Riga is not planning to play any defensive hockey. The coach has figured that weak goalie and fatigue of Lokomotiv in 3rd period is something they can exploit, like they did in game 2. I predict a lot of running and hopefully goals.

Sorry, but what does @1.85 mean? It shows if you take Over 5.5 on Jaroslavl that it is -110. I am totally clueless.

3-2 in regular time (prior to any OT) means you lose if you got the over 5.5 on game total and 1.85 is european odds in decimal and here 1.85 is on the over 5.5 on the game total not on a team total. GL

I am not so sure. Atlant plays at home. They were overly cautious in their last game and that is why they lost. I expect a lot of physical play and probably quite many penalties. SKA is of course a very good team. Good luck!
