I agree, a goalie as captain is stupid. They their time alone, not the center of attention in the locker room.

I always thought more goalies should be captains, they see the entire ice and play.

While a player has to go to the bench to get water, wipe down his face, etc etc

I am assuming Kesler or H. Sedin

So how can a goalie argue a call in the opposition end. They woudl even have to skate to the penalty box to argue a call with a ref. DO you actually think a ref woudl skate down the other end of the ice to a goalie to allow a golaie captian argue his case for his team.

Next to the glowing puck on Fox years ago, it was the dumbest thing allowed in the NHL.

Based on "time served" and play/experience, most likely one of the Sedin twins.

The four candidates for captaincy are probably the Sedin twins, Ryan Kesler and Sami Salo.

As a Canucks fan I can not be happier. The Sedins will now share the C and cut it in half and both be the captain

It's a tough call really. If you give it to one then the other will feel inferior without at least being given an "A". Should be interesting.
