Saturday Early Plays

CBJ -0.5 (+108) Pinnacle $100 to win $108
-Minnesota played last night and are 3-11 in the last 14 meetings in Columbus. Garon is hot for the Jackets and they have been playing well. Theodore will get the start for the Wild so the Jackets catch a break avoiding Backstrom.

PHI -0.5 (+115) Pinnacle $100 to win $115
-Philly is hot and the Isles definitely are not. The Flyers have won 5 straight and the Isles have lost 6 straight. Obviously both of these trends are due to correct themselves at some point but I think the Flyers take it tonight. The Flyers have won 9 of the last 10 meetings as well.

STL/BOS Under 5 (+101) Pinnacle $100 to win $101
-Both teams are defensive minded teams with solid goaltending. With Rask getting the start I expect him to be sharp and do his best to get hot and make a run at Thomas for the starting job again. Halak has been lights out all season for the Blues as well and the Bruins will want to get back to basics after giving up 5 in Washington last night.

Wave 2 plays will come closer to 5 PM PST.

Man I really need to get on Pinnacle. My odds at bet365 are as follows.

Columbus -170
Philadelphia -150
Boston St.Louis U -110

Why are the odds here so low for bet365?

I am taking it that -0.5 is PL that you bought a goal....My book doesn't offer that and I want to just make sure I am reading it right...thanks for your picks and all the work you do to get them...I'm still learning and hanging around 50% on my own picks and sometimes worse than that...that's when I just play your picks to get my roll back up..

My bets are for regulation time only. You save a lot of chalk betting regulation only, some books don't have it.

My Philly and Columbus play are regulation time only bets. So if the game goes to OT I lose. Better value on these regulation only bets.

Bet365 does have regulation lines. Just click the +12 beside the game and its the Money Line 3-way bet.

I am with Sportsbook and they do not offer a spread on the 1st period lines. Only the ML. Should I take that if I can't get a pointspread?

Yea, Pinny def has the best lines out of any sportsbook...never had any problems with payouts or anything either.

Ive only done one 1st period spread this year. Maybe you are confusing my regulation time bets with the 1st period ones because I will rarely do these.
