#41Phak Luongo. It shouldn't matter how he takes it. Other teams stripped their leader of the C and it worked out well. Look at Modano and Marleau. They never complained and were still effective players. Luongo should be a team player and just accept that he is not the best person or even positional player to be the Captain. I mena how the frig can you have your goalie as the Captain. It was one of the dumbest ideas ever in teh NHL. One of the twins should and likely will be the C.Comment -

Roberto Luongo was the first captain in 16 years to lead the Canucks into the second round of the playoffs in consecutive years. While he loved the role, it was an added distraction to his duties, possibly impeding his focus at times.

For weeks after the season, Roberto Luongo grappled with whether he wanted to remain the Vancouver Canucks captain.
He's expected to announce his decision in September when he arrives in Vancouver and meets with GM Mike Gillis for the first time since the spring.
"We decided to wait until I see him in September," said Gillis, who scrapped his original plan to meet with Luongo in July. "We're going to have a discussion about it and see where he's at. It's going to be a combination of input
