Ottawa loses tough defencemen Andy Sutton and Anton Volchenkov to free agency and adds one of the best offensive defencemen. I like the move but I think that the Sens will still need another gritty defencemen to add toughness.

Gonchar is a productive player when healthy. The question is at 35, can he stay healthy for 3 years considering he played 25 and 62 games the past two seasons.Comment -

As a Pens fan I sort of don't mind losing Gonch now that we've brought in Michalek and Martin. Let the Sens be strapped with that 5.5 million for Gonchar for the next 3 years. They aren't going to see as much production out of him and his stats will drop drastically year after year IMO.Comment -
