Keep dreaming buddy.. It's been 43 yrs since their last CUP and will be another 83 yrs before they win another one, i promise you. Maybe your Great Great grandkids will witness them winning a cup, but not you...that city sucks and so do all their teams.. Toronto is a city of LOSERS.

The Leafs started this last season like 3-21. Now I know thats part of the season and everything but the Leafs ended up finishing only 10 points back of a playoff spot and were playing some good hockey down the stretch. Also even though they lost alot of games they were competitive in ALOT of them and probably deserved to win more games that they lost.
They figure to be a pretty big player as far as free agency goes this offseason too. Add that with a group of young very talented hockey players in Kadri, Kulemin, Kessel, Bozak, Hanson, Caputi.. They'll definitely at least CONTEND for a playoff spot and will surprise alot of people.Comment -

I'm a huge Leaf fan.. yes i will admit it.. alot won;t anymore...
I'm not sure if they will make the playoffs next year...BUT.. I am very pleased with the direction Brian Burke is going in.

The leafs biggest problem is they didn't want to rip the whole team apart and rebuild like the Pens, Washington and Chicago did. As a fan, it's better to see your team suck for a few years and get a few high draft high picks and suffer a few more years waiting for the young players to mature. Instead, they think they can do an over haul in 2 or 3 seasons and in the end is stuck in no mans land (maybe good enough to make playoff but not good enough to win it all). Trading Rask was for Raycroft was a huge mistake and the Kessel trade is looking like another steal for Bos with the 2nd overall pick. Drafting and keeping good young players is the only one to win in this league.
