A few years ago when Philly and Chicago were 1-2 in the draft Chicago couldn't give tickets away... I believe Philly fans still went to the games.... Philly fans might be a-holes sometimes but at least there loyal to their teams...

I think both are guilty (as are many of the wagon jumping) but both are great hockey towns. It's generally great hockey and has shown a lot of great things about the sport. Cheers

It had more to do with with (then) owner Bill Wirtz pissing off all the fans than the city not supporting their team. This guy screwed over the season ticket holders, kept Blackhawks games off the local network, insulted and traded away all of the team's talent for a bag of beans because he was too cheap to pay the players, fired all the coaching staff and anybody else in the organization that knew what they were doing and spoke up about what was going on. Those were dark days, and you can't blame the fans for not wanting to put a penny in that dirtbags pocket.

Yeah man he was the owner until his death in 2007. Even though I was a little kid I hated him for blowing up that team before they could capture a Stanley Cup

I loved that team. Belfour was awesome and I loved Roenick and Dirk Graham. They should have beaten the pens if they didnt blow that big lead in game 1. They had some good teams under Keenan.
