All the people on the Hawks, saying they would win in 4, or 5 now that they dropped one,.. I'll say it again. You know nothing about hockey. For anyone who counted the Flyers out before the series even started, you're going to eat your words.
I'm STILL not saying that the Flyers will win the thing, and I will agree that the Hawks had a SLIGHT edge before the series started. But give me the Flyers to win the series at +250 to win, and that's an EASY bet. Hawks in 4??? NOPE. Hawks in 5? NOPE. Hawks in 6? Maybe...but I really really doubt it.
Flyers are here for a reason. Sure they are a 7 vs. a 2, but they should've been like +150 before the series started, not +250, and CERTAINLY not the +2000 that all you Blackhawk lovers made the Flyers out to be.
I don't think you all understand betting... Just because a team has an edge doesn't make betting against them a bad bet! There's definite value in the Flyers bets, and its namely because of all the Blackhawk lovers who think the Hawks are invincible.

I picked Chicago in 6 before the series started and I still like their chances of winning 2 out of 3. Obviously though, Game 5 will be HUGE.

Lt your being stubborn cause you have a Hawks future and you arent hedging because of that. Hawks are in trouble and you know it. They should be down 3-1 in the series. Flyers are wearing them down.

How are Hawks in trouble? Nothing has happened yet in this series except the home teams holding serve, and that obviously benefits Chicago if it continues.

Game 5 will be interesting is all I can say. I do feel like Philly outplayed them in game 2 and Niemi stepped up, yet an argument could be made for Chicago outplaying Philly in Game 3 though I wouldn't say by as much.

You got a good point about the lack of crowd noise. I was at a game against the Sharks and the place was like a morgue. That's what happens when all the rich fvcks buy up the tickets. I wish that place was the MADHOUSE ON MADISON.

Um, because there was no need to, if need be, i can hedge in Game 6 or Game 7. You got to remember I am getting +175 on a team that is still a -200 favorite.

Exactly, both teams have done what they had to do an we are now back to Square One, except it is 2-out-of-3.

I think it would be been silly to hedge out so early, as I am still +EV at my odds as of this second.

Of course that would all change if Philly wins Game 5, but if I want, I could hedge then for basically a 0 net.

There IS a correct answer to the argument though. It all comes down to EV, and LT is right that getting +175 on a team that is a -200 favorite is a no hedge situation! Obviously the best thing to do over the long run is to let the bet stand. If he wants to turn a short-term profit, maybe he could guarantee himself a few bucks by hedging, but LT isn't a short term guy...
