I think game 1 was indication that the Flyers are indeed a real threat. They scored 5 goals! Sure they got scored on 6 times... but... they kept it REALLY close in a road game. That's all you can really ask for. They just need one win on the road, and there's still game 2.

So anyone who counts out a team completely after they just lost a REALLY close away game, they are insane.

Chicago has had a habit of not being focused at home. Don't really understand why but they tend to struggle at home even when they win. That's why I was glad they didn't have home ice against San Jose and I wish they didn't have it against the Flyers. But by winning the opener that guarantees a split at home. They play much better on the road and are much more focused. It goes against the normal trend but I wouldn't be suprised to see them lose tonight in Chicago then go to Philly and win both. That's just the kind of team they are.

Yeah, it's not like they earned it or anything allowing only 1 goal...

I STILL don't know why people are calling this an even series. I've been hearing people calling the Flyers a "sassy" or "hungry" team that is "playing really well lately" or is "on fire". But hasn't Chicago won 10 out of their last 11 games? If that's not running well, I don't know what is. Quenneville has the Hawks running like a well oiled machine.
I think the books' opening numbers have been pretty fair so far.
Good luck to all bettors on future wagers, but really, did any of you expect anything else?

youre just not down for giving the Flyers any credit whatsoever for playing a great series, are you? i am a Flyers backer, but will certainly admit that this has been an amazing series and nothing short of evenly matched. the blackhawks look like they showed up expecting to just have the cup handed to them and the Flyers have made this thing a series when some of us "couldnt really think of any reasons why the Flyers would win the cup."
