Ya I live in Ontario.....hate the leafs/jays.....so I am a habs fan and a Soxs Fan.....

Live in Ontario too.... love the leafs/jays. Year after year of failure and never seems like much hope to come unfortunately.

Baseball really needs to adopt the NHL/NBA playoff format where 8 teams in each league make it. I know I'm sick of seeing 4 of the same 6 teams in the playoffs every year. It would give the small market clubs something to cheer about rather than knowing our fate before the first pitch of the season is thrown.

Yanks/Bosox will have great teams every year and then you get the Rays playing good ball too.... it would take a miracle and a half just for the jays to make the postseason

100% agree.

Why not make it a 157 game regular season? I truthfully don't know how the MLB hasn't realized that 8 more teams making the playoffs will lead to much more regular season hype and much more postseason hype. Hype = $$$

I find I lose any 'fan' type of interest after 2 weeks into the reg season when I realize the Jays have no realistic chance.

I actually did watch when they played the Bosox the other night and they showed the 2 teams pay towards the starting rotation:

Jays: 2.5 million
Sox: 40 million (I think it was close to 40 anyway...) but it was some absurd difference.
