I was confident Chicago wouldn't make me chase them to a game 7. I had 10 units on them tonight. And I'll make a shit ton off the people of Vancouver on the series win.

Congrats OTL
They stepped it up when they had too and deserved the win
I put 10 units on the over 1.5 3P -190 so that made up for the heartbreak
lots of luck against the Sharks

Don't fall for the hype, he's not that good.
His contract will keep him a Canuck until he turns 50!
Canuck management is savvy! lol

This series loss showed that the Canucks failed to make enough off-season moves. They lost to the same team in back to back years...
You could argue that the Canucks could have won this series with a healthy blueline. But even then, it would have been a stretch...
Canucks that need to go:
Luongo - Im sick of his attitude and his lack of grit/mental strength. He is always flopping around when he gets hit and lays on the floor trying to milk every bump and bruise for a penalty... Also, this guy was SMILING while shaking hands with the hawks.. how the fck can you be smiling after losing a series, at home... sad...
Alberts - If this guy is back next year I will blow my brains out. I guess nobody every taught him the #1 rule of hockey... NEVER PLAY THE PUCK IN FRONT OF YOUR NET!!! What a jackass...
Bieksa - I love his energy and aggressiveness, but too often bieksa makes a bonehead play or takes a bad penalty. It seems like every mistake this guy makes ends up in the back of the net. You can only call that bad luck for so long. Hes a decent D-man, but needs his minutes limited to prevent these mental errors.
Also, where the hell was Burrows this playoffs? He was a fkn ghost out there. Countless times in the regular season I would see Burrows making an impact on the game with his hustle and hard work. Not once did I see a good game from him this post-season.
I can only suspect he was playing injured, or maybe just ran out of steam down the stretch... Either way, he needs to step up next year, or hes gone too.

Good post Rich I agree with your points. Luey needs to stop acting like a soccer player and definitely he needs to give up the C on his own as it just puts added stress on his shoulders. Hodgson will be the future C of this team. Alberts, man don't get me started on him, absolutely terrible. Bieksa is a good #3 or #4 D-man, not the #2 guy he was forced to be in the playoffs. Burrows and Kesler really were disappointments this playoff season.

Canucks that need to stay:
Raymond - Ive been watching Raymond improve dramatically over the past few years. I remember before he could hardly stay on his two feet, he couldnt handle his speed. But now, hes put on a few pounds and still maintained that blazing speed. Give him 1 more year to develop and this kid will be a 25+ goal scorer, no doubt...
Wellwood - I dont understand how this guy can play at an NHL level with with his size/speed. He is a very small framed guy, and is probably the slowest canuck skater, yet he still manages to make an impact. Its incredible really... I love this guys vision and craftiness on the ice, he has such a good feel for the game. I always see wellwood making plays that you dont see too many players make, and it works. Find this guy some talent to play with and they will tear it up...
Edler - After a stellar rookie season, edler took a step back his sophmore year. I thought he would settle into his potential as a solid 3rd or 4th string D-man. But this post-season, he really took his game to the next level. I loved his physical play against the Kings, I had never seen him lay people out like that. And I think that part of his game gave the whole team a lift. I think he can be a solid 1st or 2nd D-man on any team.

Everyone else on the team is expendable if they dont step up their game. The Canucks need to make some drastic changes if they ever want to be a true Cup Contender.
If I were the GM, I would honestly shop the Sedins. They are great players, sure, but they can be neutralized by the right defense/checking lines...
When you look at true NHL stars (Ovechkin, Crosby, Kovalchuck, Malkin) those guys can be contained, but never neutralized. And that's exactly what Keith and Seabrook did to the Sedins...
Well guys, thats my rant, glad I got all of that off my chest...
Lets just hope the Canucks do something this off-season.
