Flyers will win Game 5

This series isn't over yet. Flyers have played some good hockey in this series but haven't really been rewarded for it. They'll play like they have nothing to lose tomorrow and win this game. I think winning that last game in OT goes a long way for them... at least i think it's bigger than if they had won in a blowout. Boston was so close to closing them out but couldn't quite get the job done and now the pressure is on them to finish the series off at home.

I'm tempted to call it as the same situation as SJ and Det but then look at Chi and Van. My feeling is that the OT loss will push the Bruins to coming out guns blazing. Cheers

I just watched the Special on the Broad Street Bullies. I was only 2 years old when they won back 2 back Stanley Cups in 74' & 75'. Good stuff , I think Philly needs to come out tonight and invoke their killer instincts if they want to win this series, otherwise they are toast.

I agree, I think that the flyers are done. They were lucky that it wasn't a sweep. On the other hand, I think both the Pitt/habs and Canucks/blackhawks series will go to game 7. I think?!

This series IMO is far from over. With Gagne back in the lineup and Leighton backing up Boucher, the confidence continues to build. Getting their first win of the series has them now out for blood and I think tonight you will see some of the other Flyer players "stepping up" to the challenge. Flyers will win tonight and put a blemish on the Bruins playoff undefeated home stand record. Just an opinion.. GL to all!

This was a great point. now 3-2 Boston, all the preasure is on Boston now, all the Momentum is with Phili now, and we all now how the Bruins respond when under heavy preasure in the past....they choke every single time.

Phili in 7, after they win the 6th, and win game 7 will be a rout.

You're a flyers fan too right LB? This Game 6 coming up is exactly the kind of game that i've come to expect them to lose over the last 10 years or so. I hope they can continue to build on their momentum and send it to a game 7


By the way, just so everyone knows, this wasn't a homer opinion. I live in Philadelphia, but i've never been a diehard Flyers fan... I'm a fan and i always root for them but i've always had kinda a skeptical outlook towards them. Just had a good feeling about this game, that's all.

Yes i am and i expect them to lose next game. Hopefully they wont go out easy. If they win the next game boston will be under huge pressure in game 7 and might fold.

They do have a ton of momentum but the flyers aren't exactly the best team under pressure. I doubt they will be playing with the "nothing to lose" mentality in game 6 like they did tonight, but I think it's going to be a great game. Right now, their momentum and boston's hurt confidence might outweigh whatever pressure is now on the flyers.
