I like the suspension idea.

I think the NHL should review every game-tape and look for blatant dives. Then suspend all the offenders. It should be like the NFL substance abuse policy, the more you dive the longer your suspensions are. Until you get kicked out of the league...

if its that obvious (and it is) the refs should be disciplined for not seeing it.
diving should be a 2 min penalty, but the power play stays even if the team gets scored on.
