What is the record for 1st Round OT games played?

I dont know if one day of games went without an OT?

It does feel that way, but by my count 12 of 42 games played thru Saturday have gone to OT. 1 out of 3.5 games to OT is a bit higher than the season average but nothing outrageous, just an illusion I guess.

it always seems like more because some of the teams go to OT a few times in a series. but there's always lots of OT in the playoffs. reason being, both teams want to move on. it's not like a regular season game where you're guaranteed a point (bs rule IMO) so theres real incentive
