    NHL Injuries report 04/23
    Boston
Marc Savard passed a neuro-psych test on Tuesday which means he is cleared to return to practice. He will now have to get himself back into game shape so he will be able to return late in the first round or possibly the second round if the Bruins can get past the Sabres.
Dennis Seidenberg has undergone surgery to repair his lacerated left wrist and will need eight weeks to recover. Seidenberg's only chance to play again this season is if the Bruins go deep into the playoffs.
Mark Stuart has been ruled out of the first round of the playoffs as he recovers from an infection in his left pinkie. He is not cleared to practice because of the antibiotics he's on and hopes to be able to return for the second round if the Bruins can get past the Sabres.

    Buffalo
Matt Ellis is expected to miss Friday's Game 5 against the Bruins as he suffers from a broken nose caused by a devastating hit from Boston's Johnny Boychuk in Game 3.
Jochen Hecht has undergone another procedure on his injured finger and will now miss weeks of action instead of days says Sabres coach Lindy Ruff.
Raffi Torres will not be in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 5 against the Bruins as he has not been producing like the team would have liked in the playoffs.
Thomas Vanek did not play in Wednesday's Game 4 as he recovers from a left ankle injury. He displayed a full range of motion during Wednesday's morning skate and said that he is starting to feel better. He will not play in Friday's Game 5 against the Bruins.

    Montreal
Jaroslav Spacek did not play in Wednesday's Game 4 due to an undisclosed illness which prevented him from practicing the previous two days. He is not expected to play in Friday's Game 5 against the Capitals.

    Washington
Milan Jurcina is expected to miss the Capitals first round playoff series as he has not recovered from his double hernia surgery in March. He hopes to be able to return for the second round if the Capitals can get past the Canadiens.
Shaone Morrisonn missed Wednesday's Game 4 with an undisclosed injury but did participate in practice that morning. He remains a game-time decision for Friday's Game 5 against the Canadiens.

    Los Angeles
No injuries reported for this team.

    Vancouver
Ryan Johnson will miss the first round of the playoffs as he continues to recover from a broken foot and could return if the Canucks make it to the second round.
Aaron Rome missed Wednesday's Game 4 after he re-aggravated the same injury that kept him out of the first two games of the season. He remains questionable for Friday's Game 5 against the Kings.

    Detroit
Kirk Maltby continues to recover from surgery on his injured right shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season.

    Phoenix
Shane Doan missed Game 4 on Tuesday with a shoulder injury he suffered after falling awkwardly into the boards in Game 3. He expects to return for Game 5 Friday against the Red Wings.
