Playoff hockey. The lines are so freakin' inflated but it's almost impossible to throw down on some of these dogs. The issue isn't with the dogs winning, it's with the lines being as high as they are. I feel ya. I shoulda been betting +1.5...

Playoff hockey, home ice doesn't really matter honestly. You shouldn't be laying -200 on any home team unless your 100% confident, road teams always come out strong in the first game or two. You should know by now that if it's a heavy public favorite it's not the best idea to be on it, especially at -200+. Road teams know that getting the first game of the series away from their place is pretty much the only shot they have to stay in the series. Unless of course your the red wings.

Yeah, it's a 7 game series, the dogs will win a few games. Stick to totals or puck lines. The odds are going to be inflated due to seedings so you're bound to get burned playing -200's eventually.

I just can't man. This year SJ was tough to beat at home. How can you even think they will lose to Colorado at home in 1st game. Capitals losing to Habs in 1st game. Boucher of all people playing great and beating devils. Pens losing the 1st game. It's hard to swallow.

Only game that shocked me thus far was the Washington/Montreal game 1. I wouldn't have believed Washington crapping the bed tonight unless I saw it with my own eyes. They made Montreal look real good, and got booed off the ice by their home crowd.

Playoff hockey is an entirely different game. Always lots of upsets. + money is almost always a good bet, especially in the first round.

San Jose chokes in the playoffs every year, the flyers beat the devils 5 out of 6 this year. Then Pens have been up and down since Janurary. None of those losses should surprise you. It's playoff hockey. Do you expect sweeps by the favorites in every round? Last year I think there were 3 sweeps total in the playoffs, 1 the year before and 1 the year before that. That means the dogs are winning at least 1 and in most cases more then 1 game per series.

If it's any consolation several of us got killed on Washington/Montreal. I learned my lesson on that one. Puck lines might be the way to go, The totals have been sort of wacky too.

It's easy to say that it happens every year when you don't have the bet on favorites. Try coming up with big balls and try putting bet on the underdogs since you know every year is the same result.

we have parity in the NHL... wondering why so many "dogs" are winning, are they really dogs? i mean, even home ice means sh*t these yrs. series are rarely swept, and many of them will go game 7.

on that note... today the bruins win big, straight up. miller vs rask. bruins this time will continue the punishing hits, and those crossbars and posts, will go in this afternoon.
