i think the best values are buffalo, jersey and vancouver... three of the best teams in the playoffs that are going to be dangerous, and they have the top 3 goalies in the game. i would love to see ovie and caps win, but i just dont think theodore can get it done. but i will definitely play those three.

im going with vancouver, my hometown team. I think they have a real good shot since their offense has improved a lot this year

Nucks: Luongo is the real deal, and so are the Sedins. This team has a legit goaltender and the offense to back it up, so when they're clicking, watch out. The same arena that cheered Canada onto an Olympic Gold will be buzzing just as much if Vancouver gets a playoff run going.

Devils: Always underestimated but always in the mix, the Devils are worth every bit of their 10-1 odds and probably a bit more. Parise is having another hot year and Kovalchuk was arguably the biggest acquisition of the year. NJ had the best G/A in the league this year and frankly the whole idea of Marty being washed up is based on 1 or 2 goals he let in these olympics. He's still hungry and the Devils could still win it. (But I'm also a NJD fan so feel free to write this all off as biased bullcrap)

Sens: They are coming into the postseason quite hot and much like Vancouver, are one of those Canadian cities absolutely aching for a playoff run. Goaltending might be an issue and they could just as easily go and get swept by the Pens, but if they manage the early round upset why not? Especially at 42-1.

Colorado: There's always one.. No one really expected them to make playoffs and nobody really expects much more. But throw $5 on the Avs and dare to dream.

LB, I think Vancouver is a good choice. However, I don't think putting your money on anyone is a good bet as the playoffs are highly variable. GL just the same.

And how bout a team like philly which gets in on the last shot of the last game.Perfect contrarian future,pens havent been playing well towards the end..could find themselves down 0-2 ,an upset brews,confidence is boundless for the flyers then,an upset in the other match up..who knows?

I really like the yotes at that price.Ilya Bryzgalov was outstanding this year and he seems to play even better in the playoffs.Look at 2006 with the ducks.He only let up 16 goals in 11 games that post season and had 3 straight shutouts.Phoenix is the sleeper this year and they are getting no respect being the 4th best team in the regular season.

I like the Caps in the east, it's a 4 team race wash,pitt,NJ, buff.. with Wash really stepping it up this year.. so look for wash to make to the finals... the west is a crap shot with 5 good teams SJ, Van, Chic, Pho and Det...and LA, Nash and Col are better than Bos,Mon.. so getting out of the west is going to be tuff...

Wash is the safe bet, Van good value and Phoenix the long shot... i have $50 on Wash and Pho... but my team is the cancuks!! i would lay $50 on the nucks but have been taking a shit kicking in NHL and NBA last 2 weeks...

i'm really gonna have to say another Pitts/Det final caps will lose 2nd round with goalie problems and no shut down defencman,playoffs are all about defence,San Jose is San Jose and will choke yet again,chicago and detroit will be a great series and the winner of this series should win the cup IMO

Capitals. Don't think Ovechkin will be denied this year. It's time he steps into the realm of greatness after all of crosby's recent success with the olympics and past few finals appearances. Ovech wants to show he's the best player in the world, because he is, and he has the support this year.

i love, love roberto, but the bastard F-ed me LY so i cannot back them this year. think playing year round for 2.5 years straight has the Pens running on empty and Fleury looks like shit right now.

how can you not want a team that is 15-5 L20, won the Cup 2 years back, lost in the finals LY and is 9:1? that did it with average goalie before, why not this year?

and i love Miller and Buffalo to make some noise.

Brodeur sucks, when he isn't playing Pens. his save % is under .900 vs any team in the league not wearing a penguins jersey
