    Rangers to make playoffs?
rangers play flyers twice the final two games, in a home and home.

each team has those 2 left and that's it

so the rangers need to get two wins (one can be an OT win) and they're in.

two ot/so wins and it's a tie but philly wins the tiebreaker

Realistically, Boston is getting in. Barring something very unexpected, it's Philly vs. Rangers for the only spot left.

What do you think of Rangers making the playoffs at +300?

Rangers are -145 tomorrow night at Pinnacle

      100% agree Yisman.

all you can ask for is a chance to play the team (Philly in this case) twice more with 2 games left to play.

Even though the term "controlling your own destiny" really doesn't make any sense it you think about it, if NYR does win like you described they are in. Being a Flyers fan, I am not convinced they will make it.

Real huge having the first game in New York IMO.

Won't be easy but not the worst bet out there.

Flyers are a mess right now in net and with injuries. Rangers are headcases. No play for me. Whichever team makes the playoffs is out in the first round.

Dwight, this is the rare case they do control their own destiny. Not often you close out the season with two games against the team you need to catch.

I think it does make sense to say a team is controlling their own destiny. It means the team has to win out and they make the playoffs. The problem is the term is kinda overused. If you're controlling your own destiny with ten games left, that doesn't mean so much.

Here, both the Rangers and Flyers control their own destinies.

LOL I agree but just the term "control their own destiny" doesn't make sense. If it's truly "destiny" then no matter what you do, you can't change it. Right?

I do get the expression and the point of it. Kinda like saying "I'm 100% positive I think"

rangers will come out a hittin in the 1st tonight, however the Flyers will prevail. To say the Flyers are a "mess" is alittle overboard. Yea the Flyers goalie situation sucks, but Boucher has a been pretty tight the past couple games which is always nice to see in anyone's goalie heading towards the playoffs.

Picking the Rangers to get in is essentially a simple parlay, although at least one win has to be in regulation.

They're -135 tonight at the moment.

Let's say if they win, they'll be +130 at Philly.

                            That's +300 exactly. Sharp line, I guess.

Flyers get the win tonight and seal the deal. Boucher has been hot the past couple of games and Carts may be back tonight. Avery ,the pest, is out for the season so basically you've got Gaborik.... other than that not much else other than Lundqvist. Huge game tonight for the Flyers and IMO they're out for blood and looking to show the critics otherwise. BTW, yes I am a Flyers fan

Losing your best scoring player and two starting goalies is the very definition of a mess. Relying on the third string goalie who is basically a career backup to carry you through the final stretch and playoffs? That's a mess, too.

We can only hope Leighton will be back sooner than later. Even with the addition of Caron, goaltending is a little suspect to say the least. The Flyers have lots of offense without Carter but hey, he may be back tonight!

It's funny, even if Emery comes back, you're really looking at a platoon of backups.

Frankly, I don't care who wins as long as it stays Under. 2-2 end of regulation suits me fine.

All Philly has to do is get a point tonite. I think they can do that. A point tonight and Philly can play for a tie in regulation on Sunday. I will be pulling for the Ramgers, but it looks like a very difficult task.

a point tonight, but like you said, a regulation loss on Sunday would eliminate them.

Point tonight means they need a point Sunday too.

Hopefully the flyers pull it out tommorow.. Can't see the rangers beating them on home ice for a chance to go to playoffs

Should be a good game tomorrow. Think the rangers sneak into the playoffs.
