Sawyer's NHL Total Of The Day 4/2 Fri Oilers @ Stars
    EDMONTON OILERS VS DALLAS STARS

Hi hockey fans! Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers will be gunning for a victory tonight when they meet at American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas.

Dallas Stars are ranked 11 on offense, averaging 2.8 goals per game. At home, the Dallas Stars are averaging 3.1 goals per game, and giving up 2.7 goals against on defense. The Stars are scoring 18.4% on the power play for a total of 57 power play goals.

On the other side, The Edmonton Oilers are ranked 29 on offense, scoring 2.5 goals per game. the Oilers are scoring 2.2 goals per game, and allowing their opponents to score 3.5 goals against on defense when playing at home. Edmonton Oilers are scoring 17.2 % on the power play for a total of 48 power play goals so far this season.

    Dallas Stars Injury Report

Mike Modano (C) (Appendix) is questionable for Friday. Krys Barch (RW) (Achilles) and Tom Wandell (C) (Knee) are out for the season.

    Edmonton Oilers Injury Report

Ales Hemsky (RW, Shoulder), Nikolai Khabibulin (G, Back), Jean-Francois Jacques (LW, Back), Sheldon Souray (D, Hand) and Ladislav Smid (D, Neck)are all out for season. Theo Peckham (D, Shoulder) and Ryan Stone (C, Knee) are out indefinitely. Dustin Penner (LW, Eye) and Ryan Jones (RW, Knee) are probbale for friday while Ethan Moreau (LW), Sam Gagner (RW) and Shawn Horcoff (C) are questionable for friday.

I'm expecting a high scoring game in this one. Over is 4-0 in Stars last 4 home games against a team with a road winning % of less than .400! In addition, Over is 4-0 in Oilers last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Oilers are 6-4 Over in last 10 games played and Over is 7-1 in Oilers last 8 road games. More over, Over is 24-9-1 in Oilers last 34 when their opponent scores 5 goals or more in their previous game.

Over is 2-1 so far this season in last 3 meetings. In addition, Over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings in dallas and 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings.

I know Dallas Stars are huge favourite here but Edmonton Oilers won't surrender easily. Even if they can't win, they should be able to score 2-3 goals against Stars. They can pull an upset as well, why not? This is hockey you know

I'm expecting a goal fest in this one probably a score like 3-4.

My pick is Over 5½ Goals!

    Good luck!

    Pick: Over 5½ Goals (-130)
