It is once again a must win game for the Atlanta Thrashers tonight. If they want to have a chance to keep it a close game versus the Caps' powerful offence, they'll have to play exceptionally well defensively because they cannot expect to play WSH's style and win the game 5-3, 5-4 or 6-4...

Pavelec's been doing well, I'm going for the under in this one with the total set @ 7 (would be a no play @ 6.5). It can't always be an over in WSH, right? Also, a 5-2 or 4-3 score means a push, so it's a pretty safe IMO at -130.

I'm probably making a straight bet on it and parlaying it. Thoughts?

For me, the line is way to high. Instead of the total, I took the over in the 1st period. Just because it's an important game for Atlanta, the over isn't guaranteed at all. If I had to bet on the total, I also would prefer the under at 7 - as you've said, there's the option for a push.
