Well that was a terrible night going 1-2 and the Canes looked asleep at the wheel.Today has some absurd lines with only 1 game being under 2-1 odds.Looks like were gonna have to put a parlay together or take some puck lines .Looking closer at the only reasonable game New Jersey has to have some value with the flyers in a freefall.

I know the trend says Carolina but I'm hoping that the Thrashers react like an animal backed in a corner.This is a must win for ATL and they have been playing like it for the last couple weeks going 5-1-1.

Nashville gets to go against Clemmensen who is replacing the struggling Vokoun.They beat Clemmensen 4-1 back on November 28th.

2-1 again for +70 bringing the total to 5-4 but still -45.Think I really like the Rangers Tuesday but the line being just about a pick scares me a little.Lundqvist has been lights out on the road vs the Isles and think they shoulda opened as a pretty heavy favorite.

****Atlanta +130 Huge game for Thrashers.A win vs the Leafs coupled with a likely Bruins loss to NJ ties them for 8th/playoff spot
***NY Rangers -105 Just as big a game as Thrashers except would be 2 points behind playoff spot.

The Canes look to pick up at least a point for the 10th straight time at the Bell Centre in Montreal where they are 7-0-2 there since the start of 2005-06.Take the +140.

Nabokov is making his third start this month against the Stars, he allowed four goals on 17 shots before being chased in an 8-2 road loss March 16, then recorded his third shutout in a 3-0 victory Thursday.He was 8-0-0 with a 1.43 GAA in his last nine starts in Dallas prior to these 2 meetings.Look for San Jose to win its 5th straight and I'll lay the -140.

Tonight is a huge game for Calgary being 4 points behind Colorado.A win could mean the opportunity to tie Colorado when they meet each other on Friday.However because the Flames are playing the Coyotes this game could be like watching paint dry and very low scoring.I'll take the +115 on the under.

The Senators have won 5 in a row with impressive victories on the road against the Capitals and Sabres.
The home team is 9-0 in this series last 9.
Cam Ward has a 5.57 GAA while dropping his last three starts in Ottawa.
Wait for the line to drop and bet closer to game time as I expect the majority to be on a hot Carolina team.

#2 Florida Panthers +210
Panthers are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Boston.
Road team is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
The lone bright spot Clemmensen is 2-0-1 with a 1.95 GAA in his last four games.
The Bruins are just 3-10-3 in their last 16 games at TD Garden.

#3 St.Louis Blues +115
Nashville seems to have hit the wall with a 2-0 home loss to Los Angeles on Tuesday marked the second time in three games that the Predators have been blanked.Also their power-play is 1 for 23 over the last 10 contests.
Nashville won all three meetings at St. Louis this season, it's dropped two straight and three of four at home over Blues.
St.Louis is one of the best road teams at 22-12.
Gotta bet this early as looks like many will be on the Blues and the line will drop.

Chicago has no goaltending and NJ has many people to exploit that.
CHI is 2-10-1 in the last 13 meetings.
Blackhawks are 0-7 in the last 7 meetings in New Jersey.

I'll take New Jersey -125.

Minnesota has been dominant at home against virtually everyone except San Jose.
Sharks are 13-3 in the last 16 meetings.
Sharks are 7-1 in the last 8 meetings in Minnesota.

I'll take the sharks when the game is on the board unless the odds are rediculous but I don't expect that.

Curtis McElhinney vs Andrew Raycroft.Vancouver is not that great on the road at 18-19 and Anaheim is hot with a 7-2-0 stretch . McElhinney has compiled a 1.67 goals-against average while starting the last 3 games while hiller is hurt.

Last I'm taking the Habs as Philly is just too depleted.They have too many injuries and I think the edge lies in Halak against Boucher.Montreal has a struggling offense but thats not a problem here.

What a shitty night losing 2 games in a shootout and the Devils being 22 seconds away from a win in regulation.Guess it coulda been worse.So 1-2 on the night for -120.

Buffalo has taken the last 4 against the Habs however only one has been decisive.A 6-2 win back on Dec. 3rd while 2 of the others were by 1 goal and one a shootout victory.A big part of the wins was the play of Thomas Vanek and Tim Connolly who are both out of todays game.This is a big game for the Canadiens and not all that important for the Sabres.Halak will have the start in goal again after shutting out the Flyers 1-0 yesterday.Take Montreal at home -110.

The Leafs have been playing well lately going 9-3-1 their last 13 but they are running into a desperate Boston team who is actually better on the road than they are at home.BOS is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings vs Toronto.Tuuka Rask has been good vs the Leafs he is 3-1-0 with a 2.01 GAA in four starts and has been phenomenal going 3-2-0 with a 1.26 GAA and two shutouts in his last six games.In the end I think Boston will want it more.Unless Thomas gets the nod over Rask play the Bruins -130.

Ottawa clinched their playoff birth on Thursday so look for a letdown and are a much better team at home where they are 26-10.The road is a different story as they are only 17-20.Meanwhile the Isles are often overlooked and undervalued at home where they are 21-14-3 and they have won seven of their last 11 at the Coliseum.Just ask the Flyers if they are tough at home now with a very solid core of young players.Last the home team is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings.Take the home dog Islanders at +110

Also slight lean on Carolina over NJ.The Hurricanes are 10-4 in their last 14 home games while the Devils are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in Carolina.

Worth a look is Columbus at +150 because the Caps have checked out until playoffs.
