I agree with you. Ovechkin loves beating Sid and Capitals wouldn't want to lose to their conference rival at home. It is a easy decision. Plus they are already 2-0 in the season.

Well as we all know that if you miss the morning skate you are 99.9% not playing, so I think we can all assume that Malkin is still out CAPS all the way.

With Geno missing in action and the Pens having problems getting goals on the board, I'm a bit tempted to make a play on the under 6.5 at +115. For sure I'd make the play if the total was 7. Since I'm so hesitant, I'll probably end up choking, but it's the best value I see out of this matchup.

I didn't realize Gonchar was out (he wasn't listed on the injury report, only Malkin was), but it's still way too high. The Capitals have no business being over -200 against Pitt. The Penguins are just as good, if not better.

Overreaction to Malkin and maybe also to Pittsburgh being cold lately.

They just said Sid has scored in 11 straight games vs. Washington.

If Malkin being out is pushing up the ML, it should push down the total to maybe 6 with the over favored.
