    Carolina Hurricanes
    Tim Gleason is expected to miss 3 weeks of action after suffering a broken foot.
    Alexandre Picard is expected to miss Saturday's game against the Penguins as he deals with an upper body injury which caused him to leave Thursday's game in the second period.

    Pittsburgh Penguins
    Evgeni Malkin sat out Thursday's game as he deals with a bruised right foot. He participated in an optional skate Thursday morning and is probable to play Saturday against the Hurricanes.

    Dallas Stars
    Mike Modano is out for an indefinite amount of time after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix.

    Ottawwa Senators
    Matt Carkner is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Stars with an undisclosed injury.
    Milan Michalek has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday's game against the Stars as he deals with a leg injury.

    Atlanta Trashers
    Rich Peverley is questionable to play Saturday against the Flyers as he deals with an illness.
    Chris Thorburn is questionable to play Saturday against the Flyers as he deals with an illness.
