Agree Downie is trash but it is hard to critize too loudly when the Penguins have Matt Cooke who is no better then Downie.

anyone claiming Pens throw cheap shots has seen zero games. Cooke should have been suspended for his hit. however, that is abnormal. i've seen a shit load of Pens games since Lemieux got drafted. i have no trouble admitting when they do cheap shit, and Cooke's was cheap.

however, i don't know how you don't label downie's 'an intent to injure' tried to slu foot and Crosby was too strong, so he just takes out his knee instead?

i would love for you to categorize all the 'cheap shots' the 'pet team' has thrown this year.

Payback or not, there is no place for this in the game. Looks intentional. Star player just makes it worse.

The question for all the Crosby haters here, would you have reacted the same way if it were Oveckin? or Kane? or Gaborik? I would hope not.

To preface this question, I'm a die hard Rangers fan and I have ill will or favortism for Crosby or the Penguins.

But hey, at least it wasn't a head shot....

add another thing. tough guys, fighters go after one another. not this pussy, he goes after guys he knows doesn't fight.

only a matter of time before he ends someone's season or career. same with ovie, he will blow someone's knee up for good one of these days. he is a goon with an illegal stick that shoots 10 times a game. more cheap shots that cooke, that is for damn sure.

knee on knee hits, or trying to take out a guy's knee should be 20 games minimum. Ulf should have gotten at least that for ending Cam's career. pens' fan declared it a cheap shot, that's right. anything knee related should incur the wrath of the NHL. if you doubt any of that, learn the game.
