I apologize for another obviously simple question

I was wondering how a +0.5 spread works .... if i bet on a +0.5 spread ... and Lost by 1 ,, ex: 3-2

A) Would i still win the spread because i have to lose by Less then the spread? or do i have to win the game?

B) if i choose -0.5 ... can i win by a 1 goal lead (ex: 3-2) or would i have to win by More then the spread (ex; 4-2)

again im sorry for the painfully obvious question but still learning this.

just incase anyone is wondering

I believe i have figured out my question

+0.5 wins at a (ex: 5-4 ... 3-2) loss

as where a

-0.5 (im assuming) has to win by More then 1, (4-2) etc

If i am wrong, please correct me, but i believe this is how it goes

(havnt had the best luck lately, glad i bet small)
