After the 1st 9 games 1 trend seems to be clear in the 1st round of Olympic hockey:
if the weaker team has a NHL caliber goalie then they will keep the game close and it will go under, however if the team doesn’t have NHL caliber goalie then it will go over and they will lose by 4 or more…

Scores 8-0 Norway vs Can; 8-2 Latvia vs Russia; 5-1 Belarus vs Finland; 6-1 Norway vs USA
all OVER the total all wins by 4 or more goals
I will be putting my theory to test today with large striaight bets on
over Sweden Belarus
over Latvia Czech
under Finland Germany
small bets on parlay Sweds -3.5 and over, Czech -3.5 and over, Germany +2.5 under

Push on O/U Sweden Belarus at 6 R260 W200.. lost my parlay on Sweden -3.5 Czech O6 R50 W105... down $50... i was lucky to get my push with sweden scoring with 10 secs left... i was cheering for Belarus to make it 6 all then get the over in OT... next game Czech vs Lat...

okay not a bad day i went push on sweden game, won $200 on Czech over and $100 on fin under... lost my parlays swed -3.5 and czech -3.5 $50... i was at the germany game, a litlle scary when the germans started thier second string goalie... for today i see 1 bet that looks strange

Russia Czech thoughts...
call me crazy but i like the under 5.5 russia and czech...

to try and handycap this game i'm going by results in rus vs slov (2-1) n czech vs slov (3-1) totals of 3 and 4.. i know we all think this will be a wild and crazy shoutout but there is a lot at stake and both teams have NHL calibre goalies... the under 5.5 at even money does look good... i'll make a small play on the under 0.5 unit,... i like the ML on all 3 under dogs today czech +260, USA +300 and Fin +150... i wont make any bets of US/Can and Fin/Sweds until i watch the czech/russ game..

so to recap i will take U5.5 0.5 units and Czech ML +260 1 unit...

i already have US to win pool A +250. So no further bets on US Can, my feeling is should play out same as Russia Czech with CAN likely to win, but US to keep it close the over under at 5.5 it to close to call...

hey hold on big tuna.. i'm not so sure about the slov and nor game going over 6.5, the slov's have been so defensive minded. slovs have only allowed 4 goals n scored 8 in 3 games... i can see them shutting out Norway but they may win this 4-0, 5-0. Even in their win against Lat the total was 6 (6-0)....

belarus and switz over 5, line is at 5 at even money... both teams have scored 8 goals each (in 3 games).. i see this game going as 3-2 with empty net goal to push it to 6, or 3-3 with OT..

canada germany under 6.5 - germany has only scored 3 goals so look for a can win 5-0, 6-0.. and look for canada to focus on playing solid D

Czech Latvia over 6.5 - Czech's beat Lat 5-2 look for a repeat of that score again

Slovakia Norway under 6.5 - i know i said go over vs norway, belarus n latvia but Slovakia has been playing shutdown hockey i see them winning this 4-0,5-0 or 4-1,5-1

if u want a parlay then pick Canada, Czech and Slovakia all to win... i know the payout sucks but i wish my calls on the over under were good enough to parlay... one other bet i would look at is belarus ML
