Canada vs. Norway

Obviously this will be a lopsided score but how do the Canada-6 and OU set at 8 look to everyone.

My thoughts and question marks are these.
1) Norway will be lucky to score at all
2) Canada of course has 4 lines where anyone of them could be there "Number 1" line
3) How hard will Canada play to pile on as many goals as possible?
4) Will Canada take it somewhat easy assuming they may as well save themselves for the 'bigger' games?
5) Does Norway even come close to showing any competition to the Canadians?

Now, I'm assuming that the lines are set for Norway to score 1 goal, meaning a 7-1 win for the Canadians. 7 goals isn't anything overly difficult for this Canadian team but of course if somehow Norway does score one or more then the Over looks like the play.

For some reason I've been thinking that the Canadian line will always be 0.5 or 1 above what the final outcome 'should' be due to all of the hype of Canada playing in Canada. I being a Canadian myself think Canada could win this 15-0 but certainly there is a huge bias in that. Is there more value fading Canada every game????? I've been considering this and if anyone has a non-bias opinion I would love to hear it.

I've put my stakes on Over 8 for this one, team canada will be looking to get their foot holding in the tourney and this is the perfect match for the squad to get their bearings. On a bad day they should be able to score 10, this will likely be a fun match for them to find a groove with goals galore to come from it.

I say Canada goes over 8. I wasn't thinking this at first, but it is Canada playing at home. I bet all of the players are gonna give a lot and try to get their first points in the tourney early. The crowd is just gonna pump them up too.

With goals being a tie breaking factor in the Olympics, I could see them trying to get a bunch

third game: Canada 0 - 2 Switzerland

Quarters: Canada 0 - 2 Russia

Canada does have the potential for a huge opening round game but can they deliver the goods?

Canada was a much slower team the last Olympics. The team they have this Olympics are a much faster adn powerful team. Keep this in mind.

even still finishing 7th they scored 7 goals against Italy, how does norway compare to italy? who knows
but what i know is they are way better this year, so they should exceed the 7+ goal mark no prob..i got canada -5.5 and the over and im not worried about either

I see Canada winning about 9-0 or 10-0. -6 is a LOCK.
Norway has nobody of significance.......Canada's 4th line isss wayyyyyy more skilled then Norway's first line.

Canada just has to score 2 goals a period for a push guys. I see at least one flurry where they score 3 or 4 goals in a 5 minute span.

I took canada on -6, i think alot of these guys will be excited to be playing in the olympics and should run the score up by at least more than 6. They will destroy there defence and it will be fun for them, there not used to playing teams this bad.

Norway always played well against the canadians, depends on this smaller rink..but I read that the norwegians were happy meething Canada, not Russia, as t hey believe canada will not pour it on if they have a comfortable lead.

Norway +6, no lean on total. Canada is usually good in knock out stages but right now they are not the play. They obviously want to win this game but no reason for them to pour it on when up 2-0 or 3-0. Norwegian players have had a lot of rest as well, as the European leagues don't push their athletes the way NHL does. NHL had such a ridiculous number of games close to this olympics. Tired legs for Canada could mean a couple of goals for Norway.

I like the U8 +105...............Norway is the best of the secondary teams after canada, russia, CR, USA, sweden, slovakia and finland. I think they can hang in the game defensively with canada but wont put up much offense at all. They will play disciplined and wont put canada on the pp much at all. I look for a 3-0 canada lead halfway thru the game. Canada will fire about 45 shots on net to norways 13 so it could get out of hand in the 3rd if norway mails it in, but i dont think they will. allowing for a trash goal, 6-1 final
