Here we go again!
So many changes in the off-season.
84-Game schedule
huge contacts in the off season.
Leafs winning the draft lottery from the Canucks
new coaches and old coaches in new cities
Familiar faces wearing different team colors
Kane back in Chicago
New stars in the making. Some, most of us don't even know yet.
Which teams will underachieve?
The Flyers had a hell of a run during the last 3 weeks of the season to make the playoffs and made a huge offer to get Carlsson from Anaheim in teh offseason. That failed. How will that play out?
Is this the year the Ducks and the Sharks go deep with all their young stars or will the Panthers, Lightning, Avs and Knights continue to show up?
What about the Montreal Canadiens? They have 7 of their young core players signed past 2030 and have one of the best Goalies in the NHL in Dobes.
Will the Canes get no respect again?
Panthers missing the postseason after back-to-back cups and then signing Brady Tkachuk from Ottawa to play with his brother. Barkov back after missing 2025/2026.
Where will Connor Hellebuyck end up? He's not going to play another game for the Jets. Or is he? Who can afford him?
Can the Oilers get the goaltending they need to finally get McJesus a Cup?
Can teams like the Canucks with their new coach (who just won the Calder Cup) surprise the league and make the playoffs?
Who will surprise this season?
We will get all these answer, and more, over the coming months.
Strap on your seat belts boys. It's gonna be fun.
