And they've been outscored 2-1 the last 5 games. No Elias. I'm feeling the Panthers. But GL.

Florida beat Jersey 4-2 the last time this game was played. I'm seething furious becasue i had New Jersey that game for over -200. My system says jersey PL (would play the ML), but my brain and recent stats says florida.

ive been on a couple recent jersey letdowns myself...and i realize they just got shut out 4 nothin a few days ago to the islanders but they're a good squad and im thinkin they're desperate for a win. only made a small play on it but i like it. who knows- guess we'll see what happens
(florida is on a little 3-game win streak but i got confidence that it'll end tonight)

And McAmmond scores for the devils to cover in the very last second!!!

Even NHL.com can't believe it, their headline still reads:

"Brodeur blanks Panthers, 1-0 to snap Devils three-game losing skid"

Alright hockey gods, I'm not going to complain about my luck for at least a week, cause this one was an absolute gift.

Empty net goals are little blessings for those on -1.5. Trust me I've been there.

There is nothing like being on the +1.5 puck line and watching your team pull the goalie.

                      Slo motion: "NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo............. ."

Pulling the goalie = football's hail mary.

Side note: Does anyone know the percentages involved in pulling the goalkeeper? How much does it work? It's not like a regular power play since there is one more defender and a lot less space to move the puck around..anyone know where to find this info? I'm curious now.

My guess would be in the 1-3% range, if not, less.

yeah id say more often than not it just ends the game 30 seconds earlier than it woulda ended normally.

way better move would be to injure the opposing teams best defender

this is the main reason why I often stay away from +1.5
the teams don't care about the gamblers!

yeah its like being one point away from the over and the team thats up 10 gets the ball back with half a shotclock left and they dribble it out/let them.

i was watching a college football game one time, the underdog that i wanted to cover the spread was covering towards the end of the game and my brain automatically assumed they were gonna take a knee and end the game having won. they launch the ball downfield and instantly in my mind, im like what are you doing!??! of course i only have this thought for a fifth of a second until i come back to reality and remember that they're trying to win.
