Hoping this thread lives night to night and we can discuss and make some solid plays

Tonight has alot of games that can go either way. A total of 8 on the board with Home-1.5 at -127 and the OU at 46.5.

I can't see any value in playing the spread tonight. It's more of a question of which teams will show up. The only Away favourite is the Leafs against the Oilers and with the unpredictability of the Leafs who the heck knows what will happen.

I'm leaning towards the Under tonight. I've found that even though the night previous should have no basis on what happens tonight it usually leans towards the opposite. Last night the line was 33.5 and I think went 3 goals over. So tonight should go under right! Aside from that, the under is favoured in 7 of the games with the only Over line being on Tor/Edm at 6. For some reason I think the public is probably pounding the over so hard that there's good money playing the under in it. Anyways, enough talk on my part

Hels, I have the 5 early games totaling 28.5 goals if that helps. Haven't looked at the 3 late ones as I'm not 100% on who's in goal. And for what it's worth I had yesterday's total @ 34.5 (O the 33.5 posted, but not @ the 37 I believe were scored). Good luck!

Oh, and that breaks down to Away 13.2, Home 15.3....

just curious zandyman, do you use a program or system to get those numbers or are they from basic statistics and personal knowledge?

Personally, I use a program of systematic statistics.... Actually I really just focus on a team and goalie's last 5 games and go from there. Under looking good tonight; continued luck.

under was successful thankfully and hoping more people will join in this thread and get some good discussion going.

doubt I'll be able to play tomorrow's games as I now live in Australia and obviously night time in north america is morning here. And it's 6pm on the 31st and I'm on my 7th brew and me and my lady are heading to the conrad treasury casino in brisbane for the night. Hope you all have a great 31st and don't get in too much trouble

Just from looking at the games I would expect an O/U of 33 or 33.5 and would play the under hard. I know I just said that it usually goes O U O U O U O U but the games tongiht are looking like there will be a couple 2-1, 3-1, 3-0 scores.

Home will probably be -2.5 and once again that's a complete toss up. Most likely home will cover but there actually will probably be more value in the Away at +185 as there will most likely be a couple upsets.

Probs will be KIA tomorrow morning but if I come home and the lady passes out and somehow I don't will attempt to post my thoughts and plays... hahahah... damn I love new years!!!! Hope eveyrone keeps cashing good in 2010 boys!!!

good thing I didn't make any plays in my state last night as I couldn't even count how many games there were.... lol.

it looks like the O U O U O U trend continues with a 62 goal night. As well the Home side had 2 more goals. I'm not sure what the line was but I'm guessing Home was probably favoured by 2 or more.

Probably won't play tomorrow as there's only 2 games on the slate and since one is an afternoon game I'll be sound asleep still trying to fight off the New Years after effects. Hope everyone is hitting well and has/had a great new years!!!!

I've gotta go with the UNDER tonight. Over last night and not one game had less than 4 goals.. and I think out of the 10 games only 1 of them had 4 goals and the rest were 5 and over. I know that last night should technically have nothing to do with tonight but we all have our reasons.

And off topic here but also I find relevant is that not one game went into OT last night. I would say at least 2 of the 6 go into OT tonight.
