Another play against a travel weary team. Colorado fresh at home of a long but successful trip, Minny playing well lately and have given Colorado fits in the past. I like the goalie matchup here as Backstrom has really performed well in Denver in the past, something like 1.74 GAA in his last 14. Budaj has been average at best against the Wild. Injury bug starting to catch up with the Avs a bit as Jones is out and Hejduk dinged up but will play. Think the Wild may outleg the senior statesmen on the Avs defense tonight. I know that Sacco gave the team yesterday off but I actually like to play against that angle in a first day back situation. I thought I might get a better price on this one as the Avs are a heavy consensus pick but the line seems to indicate some contrarian play.

I am looking to ride the Leafs current hot streak against the Isles who played last night and looked awful against a Philly team that was not playing well going in.
Leafs are perhaps one of the more streaky teams in the game and I am basing my play on that theory.

N.Y. Rangers +179 @ Chicago Black Hawks OT included
This play is not for the faint of heart as the Black Hawks have been killers on their own ice. I have watched a lot of the Hawks lately and Huet seems to be fighting the puck a bit. His stats against the Rangers over his career and dating back to his Habs days are awful. Huet has a +4.00 GAA against the Rangers. On the other side of the ice Lundqvist has been superb against the Hawks in his career. New York is riding a three game winning streak in games against the Hawks, I am hoping they extend that. I may also put a small offering on a "draw" bet on this game, I think overtime may be a possibility in the matchup.
