    on a typical night..
hey guys. i've got a question for everyone who bets NHL frequently (i'm using the term frequently for placing wagers almost every day)..

so let's say there's 7 or 8 games on the board. you really like 2 or 3 of them (for this example's sake, you like them equally). do you play them all? or do you try and narrow it down? do you play strong on one and play soft on another?

the reason i am asking is because i feel like lately i've just been spinning my wheels. on an average night i break even or come out a little under. i usually play between 2 and 3 NHL games every night. is this my problem??

i really am curious as to what strategy you guys go with. please share it with me! anything at all would be appreciated here.

hope everyone had a great night..

    TT

I narrow it down. There is so much parity in this league that any team can beat anyone.

In the long run minimal bets like 1-2 max a night should be the most successful. The problem many have (especially me) is say you only bet one game a day and you lose it, you tend to chase. It's hard to end the day down and not bet anymore each day, or maybe this is just for degenerates like myself I tend to base my bets on how successful my earlier bets are. Say I go 2-0 and make a couple units then I'm satisfied for the day. If I go 0-1 there's another bet coming 99.9% of the time. Depends on how much self control you have I guess

miser, it is pretty crazy how any team can beat anyone.

DG, i think i'd rather have your "chasing" problem than my own. at least you can come out on top and be done. usually when i win a bet, i have another bet that i placed at the same time.. and it's not doing well.

sooo 1-2 max a night it is then. this is gonna be tough! hahaha

play everything and reduce your bet size as appropriate. I routinely have 20-30 plays a day.

matt, i've typically been betting 2 or 3 NHL games, 1 or 2 NBA games, and NCAA football/NFL on days that it's on.

so i'd say usually i have between 4 and 7 plays. usually i have 1 or 2 big ones and 4 or 5 small ones. would you say it'd be better to place the same wager on every bet?

I'm a flat bettor, but only cause I'm too stupid & lazy to calculate my edge. My strategy isn't optimal, so I don't recommend it. Unless you're stupid & lazy.
